I crafted intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhanced the overall learning experience. I collaborated closely with stakeholders, instructional designers, and developers to understand user needs and translated them into intuitive design solutions.
We ended up with a great library of components, and screens that the team is still using today.
This was one of the most challenging and fun projects I got to work on in 2018. The thing about creating learning web apps is that from the designer's point it's the best opportunity to put into practice some of the densest UX principles while having to find the balance between the nature of the content and the aesthetics of the User interface.
1. Create a user flow that helps the user be aware of their progress at all times.
2. Create an environment that will help the students to engage and keep learning.
3. Design a sober concept with a steady guide style.
4. Accomplish a good attention hierarchy.
The design system we created was based on a very small style guide, the layouts ended feeling more approachable the the actual platform that the end users were learning to use.
Here are some images of how the deliverables look like.
At the end, we had this large library of elements that created the right effect in the end users. Layouts that had a personal touch and felt “familiar”.
Team dynamics make all the difference when working under pressure. In this project, my contribution to shipping the product was constrained to a very narrow time window, leading to intense pressure. Given my focus on UI elements, maintaining the quality and consistency of atoms, components, and layouts was paramount. Despite these challenges, I successfully delivered, thanks to the outstanding leadership within the product team and the guidance provided in establishing a functional and seamless production pipeline.
